Are you a government school?

No. Hira School is a private school run by Hira Foundation, a non-profit organisation.

Are you an Islamic school?

We are not a Madrasa. We are a modern school where Islamic values are integrated into everyday learning alongside academic excellence.

Up to which grade do you teach?

From Baby Nursery (age 2½) up to Grade 10.

Do you teach English? Is this school an English medium school?

Yes. Most subjects are taught in English; Dhivehi, Islam, and Quran are taught in their own languages.

What curriculum do you follow?

The National Curriculum of the Maldives, with Cambridge O-Level examinations at secondary.

How do you teach Math?

We follow the Oxford Maths Makes Sense programme, starting from the foundation stage.

How do you manage your electricity?

Our campus runs on 100% solar power.

Is your school 100% plastic-free?

Yes. Students, staff, and parents all follow our zero single-use plastic rule.

Do you use corporal punishment?

No. Corporal punishment is never used at Hira School.

How much are the school fees?

Registration is MVR 100 for preschool and MVR 500 for Grades 1–10. Monthly fees range from MVR 1,450 (Baby Nursery & Nursery) to MVR 2,800 (Grades 7–10).

How do admissions work?

Admissions run in two steps: an Application Form to check availability, then an Admission Form once a place is confirmed.

How is the school fee billed?

Fees are billed monthly and are payable in cash or by bank transfer.
